I’m doing a Sesame Street one BEFORE a Muppet one, but I did do Manamana a while back on the pessimist, so that should be ok. That, and I’ve been thinking about this one for a couple of weeks now and decided to try and find it today. One of the all time classics (though ernie and rubberducky is still probably my favourite from childhood).

Enjoy.

Childhood story

I was thinking the other day what sort of stuff I could put here to keep your interest, and I realized that most of the material i would have to post would be images, videos and links to same. And i don’t want it (this blog) just to be a rehash of my ‘finds’ on the web. So to put a break between Inigo and my next picture post, i will relate a quick story from my childhood.

Now mind you, i don’t remember this personally, but referencing what I do remember from my early years, it is entirely possible.

Seems one day my Dad was trying to explain something to me, and for once I was very intently focussed on what he had to say – I was very much inclined at the time, and still am, to figure things out for myself, usually looking away, being twichy and the like – so this was quite a pleasing occurrence for him. As he got to near being done, he decided to check that I had followed what I am sure he thought was a brilliant explanation of whatever it was he wanted me to know and asked me what I thought. My reply, apparently accompanied by a very serious look on my face, while still staring at his was, “Gee Dad, you really have a big nose.”

:)
